Vivo Nex 3 5G Lauched: Waterfall Display, 16 MP Pop-up Camera, Bezel-less And Button Less

Chinese Vivo officially introduced the new flagship smartphones: NEX 3 4G, NEX 3 5G. Its main features are “waterfall” display and a 64-megapixel camera. Screen Has A Lot To Show

The screen is another aspect that grabs attention in the new series of Nex 3 phones. The company used a 6.89 ″ Waterfall POLED screen, without bevels or notches, achieving a screen/body coverage of 99.6%. In this sense, the screen has a curvature of 90% on its right and left sides, offering a wider visual experience.

Pretty sure, Vivo has already integrated on-screen fingerprint sensor as well. In this sense, it aims at the use of E3 luminescent materials to achieve a multilevel screen brightness of 1.9 to 800 nits, reducing the use of blue light and energy consumption. The screen also has HDR10 support, 100% coverage for the P3 color gamut, and low blink brightness, for better visual comfort.

Notable Aspects

The new Vivo Nex 3 series opts for a 16MP pop-up front camera, which is accompanied by an LED light. The company has preferred to place the pop-up module of the front camera in the central part.

Its rear triple camera system consists of a 64MP main camera (f / 2.0) using 1 / 1.71 Samsung GW1 sensor. The second with 13 MP wide-angle camera (f / 2.2), and third with 13MP telescopic camera (f / 2.4 ), all mounted on a round panel. The company points out that users will be able to take excellent portraits through the Portrait Master Hyper-HDR mode.

What’s more interesting is the replacement of side buttons, promising to avoid accidental touches. But there is a connector headphone jack in the middle. The SIM card tray is located right at the bottom, next to the USB Type-C connector.

The Vivo Nex 3 series also integrates its virtual assistant, Jovi. The smartphone includes a steam chamber cooling system, that incorporates a 4500 mAh battery and energy-saving technologies Super FlashCharge 44W.

Inside, there is a Qualcomm’s powerful Snapdragon 855+. The storage configurations are (8GB RAM + 128GB), (12GB RAM + 256GB)under UFS 3.0 memory. Nex series comes with Android 9.0 under its customization layer Funtouch 9.1, starting with Asia and the Pacific for next September 21. Apart from price tags, it took over Rs.51,000 for the 4G option with 8GB of RAM and 128 GB Internal storage. Meanwhile, the Vivo Nex 5G handset with 8GB RAM and 256GB will set you back Rs.58,000.
