The Cheapest 5G Smartphone In The Market: Coolpad Legacy 5G
When 5G phones like Galaxy S10 5G, LG V50 5G, and OnePlus 7 Pro debuted in 2019, their price tags are really high. But 2020 is a new year, and apparently the time has come for the most affordable 5G phones. At CES 2020, Coolpad introduced its first 5G phone, known as the Legacy 5G. Available from the second quarter of this year for “less than the US $ 400”. Pretty much, it will be one of the cheapest 5G phones on the market.
Legacy 5G: Specifications
- Display: 6.53-inch FHD + screen
- Cameras: (48MP + 8MP) rear camera,16MP front camera
- Storage config: 4GB of RAM / 64GB of memory
- Inside: Qualcomm 7250 signal processor
- Battery: 4000 mAh capacity
- Connectivity: Bluetooth 5.0, 5G
- OS: Android 10
The Legacy 5G has a large 6.53-inch screen with dark blue gradient design on the back. During the event, the phone was showcased in a cheap appearance and its beveled edges felt uncomfortable to the touch. Good news for those users who still cling to their wired headphones is that the Legacy 5G has a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The phone works with the Android 10 operating system. The camera interface was not yet finished. Lowering the price range to the US $ 400 at this stage will make 5G technology accessible to more users.
Although 5G technology will not completely replace 4G, the next-generation network works incredibly fast. And many industries will benefit from it, including autonomous driving cars, drones and the so-called “internet of things”. Meanwhile, Coolpag Legacy 5g will be sold on Coolpad and Amazon websites.
