Redmi K20 Pro: A Midrange Smartphone With Snapdragon 855 Processor
A few days ago, Xiaomi draws attention in its new flagship smartphones, Redmi K20, and Redmi K20 Pro. The rumors K20 rose against the launch of Oneplus 7 and Oneplus 7 pro.
Flagship Killer 2.0 Revealed
With features similar to those of high-end devices, the Redmi K20 and K20 Pro are serious competitors for the new smartphones from OnePlus and all high-end devices launched recently. Moreover, Xiaomi already nicknamed these devices “Flagship Killer 2.0“.
The Redmi K20 Pro will have performance comparable to real high-end phones like the Mi 9 or OnePlus 7 Pro since it has the same processor: the Snapdragon 855 Qualcomm. The screen is an OLED Full HD + of 6.39 inches with a ratio of 19.5: 9, without borders, nor notch. Indeed, the 20MP front camera is housed in a pop-up mechanism.
On the back, K20 Pro has three photosensors: a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor, a 13MP wide-angle sensor, and 8MP telephoto lens. As far as memory is concerned, the Redmi K20 Pro has 6/8 GB of RAM and between 64 and 256 of internal storage. The battery is 4000 mAh and could charge 100% in 70 minutes.
Will Redmi “Kill The Game”?
The Redmi K20 looks like two drops of water to the K20 Pro. But instead of the chip Qualcomm Snapdragon 855, it uses a Snapdragon SoC 730 engraved 8nm. On the back, there’s a triple camera lens with a Sony IMX586.
With these new smartphones, Redmi enters the segment of high-end killers, while it has accustomed us to mid-range smartphones or entry-level mobiles. As a reminder, this year, Xiaomi decided to make Redmi an independent brand within its organization. And its first smartphone, the Redmi Note 7, has already sold 10 million units.
At the moment, we have no information on price and availability in India. But according to GSMArena, the price Redmi K20 Pro starts at 323 euros in China, for the version with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. It should be one of the cheapest mobile phones with Snapdragon 855 SoC on the market.
