Mi Band 4 to have Color Display and Colorful Straps

A new teaser has been released by Xiaomi Mi for the upcoming new Mi Band 4. The teaser is released just a week before its launch in China. The teaser was shared by the company’s CEO Lei Jun on Friday on Chinese social networking website Weibo. He assured that the Mi Band 4 will be a major upgrade to Mi Band 3. Mi Band 3 was launched in May 2018. The current price of Mi Band 3 is Rs. 1,999.

The teaser launched by Lei Jun shows that the Mi Band 4 is not going to be same as Mi Band 3 with few minor changes. Mi Band 4 is surely going to come with a big upgrade. It is surely going to change the trend of Mi Bands. Some of the features were leaked previously before any official news. Jun confirmed the leaks and shared some information about Mi Band 4.

The Mi Band 4’s screen will be larger than the present screen of Mi Band 3. Mi Band 4 is going to be the first Mi Band-series wearable to have a color display. The latest band will support more than 16,000 colors. Apart from this, the teaser also shows that the Mi Band 4 will be available in a number of color straps options. These include Black, Blue, Orange, and Maroon colored bands.

Though Jun has not revealed any kind of information regarding the specification of the upcoming band-series, there are many rumors and leaks delivered on the internet. If rumors are to be believed, Mi Band 4 is expected to come in two variants, an NFC variant, and a standard variant without NFC. Both the variants will be supporting Bluetooth 5.0.

The other rumor says that the band will have a very good upgrade in battery life as well. It is expected that the new band will have a bigger battery than Mi Band 3 and it will be powered with 135mAH battery and the users will no longer have to remove the strap in order to charge the band. The Mi Band 4 will have a photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor which will enable blood pressure detection. It is also reported to come with Xiao AI voice assistant

The Mi Band 4 will be launched at an event in China on June 11. Just one day before the launch of the new band, it has been put up for pre-order on a Chinese e-commerce website AliExpress with additional information about the product. The Mi Band 4 is available for pre-order in a Non-NFC configuration variant. It is the normal variant without NFC and it is priced at $49.99. The Indian price of this band is expected to be around Rs. 3,500. There is one more variant expected to launch with the NFC support. The price of that variant will be more than the non-NFC model. The pricing of the NFC variant is expected to be around Rs. 5000.

There are no official words from Xiaomi about the new Mi Band getting launched and being available in India. Until then wait for the official words from the company availability of Mi Band 4 in India
