How to transfer pictures from android to mac?

Introduction

If you’ve got pictures on your Android phone that you want to transfer to your Mac, there are a few different ways to do it. Here are a few methods that you can use to get your pictures from your Android phone to your Mac.

Step 1: Connect your Android device to your computer

Assuming you have your Android device and Mac computer ready to go, the first thing you’ll need to do is connect your Android device to your computer. To do this, you’ll need a micro-USB cable. Once you have that, simply connect the micro-USB end of the cable to your Android device, and the other end to your Mac’s USB port.

Once the Android device is connected to your Mac, you should see a pop-up dialog on your Android device asking you how you’d like to use the connection. Select “Media device (MTP).” If you don’t see this option, you may need to select “File Transfer” or something similar.

Now that your devices are connected, we can move on to transferring pictures from your Android device to your Mac.

Step 2: On your Android device, open the Settings app and go to System > About Phone

Assuming you have already installed the Android File Transfer app on your Mac, open the Settings app on your Android device and go to System > About Phone. Tap the Build Number seven times, until a message appears that says “You are now a developer!”.

Next, go back to the System settings and find the Developer options menu item. It should now be visible. Tap it, then scroll down and enable USB Debugging.

Once that’s done, connect your Android device to your Mac using a compatible USB cable. If prompted on your device, choose to trust the computer. The Android File Transfer app should then automatically launch on your Mac, showing you the contents of your device’s storage.

Step 3: Tap the Build number seven times, until you see the message

Assuming that you have already set up your Android phone and Mac computer to communicate with each other (see Step 1 and Step 2), tap the Build number seven times on your Android phone. You should see a message that says “You are now a developer!” or something similar. This means that the Developer options menu has been unlocked on your phone.

Step 4: Return to the previous screen, and select Developer options

Assuming you’ve completed the previous steps successfully, returning to the previous screen and selecting Developer options should now transfer pictures from your Android device to your Mac computer.

If you’re having trouble completing this step, make sure that your Android device is connected to your Mac computer via USB cable and that you’ve selected the correct connection type in the Developer options menu.

Step 5: Scroll down and enable USB debugging

Assuming that you have already connected your Android phone to your Mac computer using a USB cable, follow these steps to enable USB debugging and begin transferring pictures from your Android phone to your Mac.

1. On your Android phone, open the Settings app.
2. Tap About Phone.
3. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and tap Build Number 7 times.
4. A message will appear that says “You are now a developer!”
5. Press the back button and you should now see the Developer Options menu item listed under System on the Settings page.
6. Tap Developer Options and then scroll down to the Debugging section and tap USB Debugging to enable it .

Step 6: On your computer, open

Assuming you have your Android phone and your Mac computer with you, go ahead and open the Photos app on your Mac. Then, connect your Android phone to your Mac using a USB cable. Once your Android phone is connected, you should see it appear in the Photos app on your Mac. If you don’t see it appear, try disconnecting and reconnecting your Android phone.

Once your Android phone is appearing in the Photos app on your Mac, go ahead and click on it. This will open up all of the photos and videos that are stored on your Android phone. From here, you can select which photos and videos you want to transfer to your Mac. To select multiple photos or videos, hold down the Command key on your keyboard while clicking on each one.

Once you’ve selected all of the photos and videos you want to transfer, click the Import Selected button in the upper-right corner of the Photos app. This will start importing all of the selected photos and videos from your Android phone to your Mac. Depending on how many photos and videos you’re transferring, this could take a few minutes to complete.
