If you want to take amazing photos and videos on Snapchat, you need to know how to use all the features available to you. One of those features is the ability to flip your camera. It’s a simple process, but one that many people don’t know how to do. In this blog post, we’ll show you how to flip your camera on Snapchat for Android so that you can start taking amazing photos and videos today.
Open Snapchat and sign in
If you’re using an Android smartphone, open the Snapchat app and sign in with your username and password. Then, tap on the Profile icon in the top-left corner of the screen. Next, tap on the Settings icon in the top-right corner of the screen. In the Settings menu, scroll down to the bottom and tap on ‘Manage’. Finally, under ‘Additional Services’, tap on ‘Flip Camera’.
Go to your profile page and tap the settings icon in the top right-hand corner
Assuming you already have the Snapchat app downloaded and opened on your Android device, go to your profile page by tapping the icon in the top left-hand corner of the Snapchat home screen. Once you’re on your profile page, tap the settings icon in the top right-hand corner. This will open up a new menu with a variety of options. Scroll down until you see the “Flip Camera” option and tap it. This will flip your camera from back to front (or front to back, depending on which way you’re holding your phone).
Scroll down to ‘Additional Services’ and tap ‘Manage’
Assuming you have the most recent version of Snapchat (as of October 2019), Scroll down to ‘Additional Services’ and tap ‘Manage’. Next, select ‘Filters and Lenses’ and toggle on the switch next to ‘Front-Facing Flash’. This will allow you to take selfies with the flash on, even in low light.
Toggle the ‘Allow Snap Map’ option to ‘Off’
To toggle the ‘Allow Snap Map’ option to ‘Off’, follow these steps:
1. Open the Snapchat app and tap on the Settings gear icon in the top-right corner.
2. Scroll down to the ‘Privacy’ section and tap on ‘Snap Map’.
3. Tap on the switch next to ‘Allow Snap Map’ to turn it off.
Now that you’ve turned off the Snap Map feature, your location will no longer be shared with other Snapchat users.
How to change your privacy settings
If you’re concerned about privacy, you can change your Snapchat settings to control who can see your snaps and who can send you snaps. To change your privacy settings, open the Snapchat app and tap the gear icon in the top-right corner.
Under “Account Actions,” tap “Manage”, then scroll down to “Privacy Settings.” From here, you can choose to share your location with friends, or keep it private. You can also decide whether or not to allow friends to view your Story, or add you as a friend without your approval.
To control who can send you snaps, tap “Only allow Friends” under “Who Can Send Me Snaps?” If you only want certain people to be able to send you snaps, you can add them to your Best Friends list by tapping on their name and then tapping “Add To Best Friends.”
Now that you know how to flip your camera on Snapchat for Android, you can start taking better photos and videos with the app. This simple little tip can make a big difference in the quality of your snaps, so be sure to give it a try next time you’re using Snapchat.
